Description

Low carbon steel is a type of metal that has an alloying element made up of a relatively low amount of carbon. Typically, it has a carbon content that ranges between 0.05% and 0.30% and a manganese content that falls between 0.40 and 1.5%. Low carbon steel is one of the most common types of steel used for general purposes, in part because it is often less expensive than other types of steel. Low-carbon steel wire is normal quality wire, and it is called general purpose wire. Steel wire is usually well holds its shape, but this is a heavy metal, and bend it easily. Often used for a variety of frameworks.

Specifications
The diameter:
Low-carbon steel wire is manufactured with diameters from 0.20 to 8.0 mm by repeated cold drawing. The raw material for hot-rolled wire rod is with diameters 5.0-9.0 mm.
Coating: galvanized, copper.

  • According to the type of processing steel wire is:
    • Heat-treated (annealed).
    • Thermally untreated.
  • According to the type of surface:
    • No cover.
    • Coated (galvanized, copper coated).
